Our Story

In 2023 members of Faith Church and Flourish church began working together to better serve the foster care community. A collaborator initiation grant through More than Enough (CAFO), presented by Hands of Hope was the catalyst to move forward and the three organizations followed God’s leading to begin a collaborative work. The team participated in hours of course work, and community discovery conversations with the aim to identify strengths and gaps in Lake County before, during and after foster care. In 2024, one year after the grant initially gave the boost to get started, there are now 15 churches and organizations meeting regularly to encourage each other, fill in some identifiable gaps, and follow God’s leading to best serve vulnerable kids and families before, during and after foster care.

Equipping caregivers with tools and training
Creating a stable environment
Offering counseling and emotional support
Honoring each child’s story with dignity

To engage with churches, agencies and the community to unite in meeting the needs of vulnerable families through collaboration, compassion and shared responsibility.
